Keeping Schools Safe: School Safety Submission Requirements

Did you know that Wisconsin Statute § 118.07 requires Wisconsin schools to make five submissions to the WI DOJ Office of School Safety by Jan. 1 of each year? This session will build your understanding of the requirements and the school board’s role in ensuring comprehensive school safety efforts are happening in our schools and submitted appropriately. Required, and recommended, elements of school safety blueprints, assessments, plans, trainings and drills will be discussed. In addition, presenters will answer your school safety best practice questions, and provide valuable insight into the current threat landscape and evidence-based solutions for developing comprehensive school safety measures.
